Sassigrass and my relationship was kindled by our random meeting at a Sufjan Stevens show on his tour supporting Illinoise. However, Come On Feel The Illinoise doesn’t need nostalgic romances to maintain its power. This is the work of a musical genius. It’s weird to think that this may be the last record of its kind that we hear from Sufjan; but if it is, you can’t say that he didn’t leave us with something absolutely incredible. I find this record to contain some of the most impressively sincere music ever written.
